Meet Caitlin.

You’re overwhelmed. You work really hard but nothing feels right. You regret some of the chaotic things you do in relationships but don’t know how to fix them. The abandonment wounds from the past haunt you, even in your dreams.

You wish people understood that you’re working on becoming a better person. You wish there wasn’t such a stigma against mental illness and that people didn’t feel so isolated and lonely. You have an empty sadness because once again you are drinking wine and doom scrolling. Your life shouldn’t be this way, and you know you deserve love and happiness, but you just don’t know how to get them.

You don’t want to turn back to impulsive or unhealthy actions, but you’re running out of answers. You’re left to pick up the pieces and you’re not sure if you can do it one more day.

All people at any given point in time are doing the best they can.

I help young people with a history of trauma find their inner, wise selves and turn stigma into strength. Because I've lived it, I understand the fear, trepidation, and overwhelm. I know what it's like to feel ashamed or less than and the leap of faith required to invest in therapy.

I'm warm, a little quirky, and deeply passionate about transformation. Because I can offer different kinds of treatment, we figure out what’s going to work best for you.

For 17 years I’ve witnessed my clients go from defeated and alone to self-assured and independent, no longer threatened by past traumas or unhealthy coping skills. My clients have their faith restored that stigma doesn’t define them, and that stability is possible even while managing symptoms. With therapy and counseling my clients begin to do what they love like painting, writing, or returning to school. Together, we create a new path.

Professional Background

I’ve provided therapy in residential programs for pregnant and perinatal mothers recovering from substance use disorders. I’ve led groups for survivors of harm; and for those who’ve caused harm. I served as clinical director for Magnolia Women’s Recovery Programs, La Familia Counseling Services, and Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse. At John Muir Behavioral Health I worked with young people recovering from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, suicidal ideation, substance use, eating disorders, and early psychosis.
